In September, we were delighted to welcome a group of 50 telecom sector delegates from Gothenburg in Sweden an action-packed three days of meetings, activities and gourmet experiences in Mallorca.
The group stayed at one of Palma´s newly-refurbished hotels, located near the imposing 14th century Bellver Castle, 3km west of Palma.
The group began with a walking tour of the historic city, taking in Santa Catalina, the former fishing district, now home to music cafes, bohemian cocktail lounges and vintage boutiques, ended up with an informal tapas lunch at a luxury yacht pier, with panoramic views of the bay of Palma.
In the evening, the group enjoyed dinner at one of our favourite restaurants which specialises in international cuisine with world flavours. The menu included lamb kebabs and salmon steak teriyaki with roast broccoli, sweet potato fries and alioli, pitta bread with tzatsiki dip and chocolate brownie with cardamon.
The following day, after their conference at the hotel, the group had a 4-hour evening catamaran trip around Palma bay with delicious tapas-style catering, including dates with bacon, meatballs in spicy sauce, mozzarella and tomato skewers and chicken salad with mayonnaise. There was a chance to swim, try out water activities and enjoy the beautiful sunset.
The following day, the group had the chance of a few hours of sun at one of the island´s larger beach clubs. After a final lunch surrounded by the stunning views, the group was conveniently close to the airport for their return trip back.
